Our Story
​In 2017, the founder, Riad Darawish, attended Data Science and Deep learning conference hosted by UNICOM. He was inspired by the wide range of commercial problems that AI startups could solve using deep learning. This inspiration was the drive for his motivation to enter the deep learning world to tackle handwriting recognition. In his previous job, this was a problem affecting hundreds of clients where traditional OCR failed to help.

In 2018, and five months after Riad teamed up with his friend Ion Mosnoi, they successfully demonstrated an MVP that could read 80% of handwritten bank checks. ​This was the start to further success in solving several data extraction problems.
